Today the Munich Philharmonic orchestra allowed me to continue my research on the reproduction of the sound inside the orchestra by doing actual field studies inside the orchestra.

Alone in the theatre at night: Mephisto
At night you have peace and quiet in the theatre: no stage technicians, no carpenters, no lighting setup, no rehearsals. It's great when the theatre management allows you to stay alone in the auditorium at night and make your sounds in peace.

I am very happy that this impressive German documentary film by Martin Farkas with my music is now being shown in the ARD after a successful and long lasting run in the cinemas. Wednesday, 08.01.20, 22:45 hours is the time. Hopefully to be found afterwards in the media library.

Statt - wie das Poster andeutet - Relikte und Devotionalien aus der ECM Geschichte zu präsentieren, versuchen wir, die Bedeutung und Auswirkungen, die ECM auf unser Werk und Leben ausgeübt hat und immer noch ausübt, in eigene künstlerische Positionen zu gießen.
The Suction of War – A Family History
After intensive two weeks I now check the finished print master of the cinema mix for Christoph Boekel's documentary film "Sog des Krieges - Eine Familiengeschichte". After having produced the music for the film at the beginning of the summer, I now took care of its sound design and mixing.

What a humbling experience: the entire catalogue ever produced by ECM Records as flac files on my hard disc.
