Every other year during the Linde Management Conference the board of directors and the 500 top-managers get together to define the strategic objectives for the company development. The emotional highlight which closed the conference 2012 was a joint evening of all participants with a concert for orchestra, chorus and worldmusic solists.
We connected the event location, the Shanghai Cruise Terminal at the river Huangpu, with the corporate history – from the inventor Carl von Linde to the point of a globally operating big corporation: „Source becomes stream becomes river becomes sea – and beyond, the mighty ocean…“
This line wasn’t only the storyline for the musical composition (Marius Ruhland) and content of the lyrics, but also the foundation for a space-filling light installation comprised of thousends of blue neon tubes, which visualized the flowing of the river.
On location I brought the concert on stage.
