MAYA – Augmented Reality App

The standard theatre situation was reconfigured to an installation- and rave-like situation by means of the MAYA augmented reality App. Alive and present as an actor was only the mezzo-soprano Martina Koppelstetter. The digital world from which she originated was only visible through smartphones and AR. Experiencing this world through own smartphones, the audience strolled through the ruins and became the counterpart for MAYA with its presence, augmenting MAYA’s loneliness: MAYA had to sing against a mass of audience members gaping through their smartphones.

What will MAYA actually sound like?

About the musical collaboration with Leon Michener aka Klavikon, Jörg Hüttner, Anton Kaun aka Rumpeln, Björn Eichelbaum and the TrioCoriolis for the mixed reality techno opera MAYA.

Lectures

Occasionally I am invited to give lectures about my work and sometimes I make videos of it. Here are a few examples: About MAYA, Artist Talk @ University of Glasgow, "Now listen to me!", Opera as political expression, the chant as utopia: Happy Happy!

BMW – Excellence in Sales 2016

BMW honoured its 36 best dealers worldwide during the Excellence in Sales awards ceremony in Munich. For the opening and final part I produced a live act with cellists Eugen Bazijan and Jost Hecker: a reckless ride from classical to rock music.

Vergehen (Passing) VR Trailer

VERGEHEN is conceived for a specific path at the Munich river Isar and only works there. The VERGEHEN VR trailer makes it possible to visit this place virtually through VR glasses, even if you can't make it physically to the river.

About the development of VERGEHEN (passing)

The Isar river and especially this walk along the Auer Mühlbach and over the Kabelsteg have accompanied and shaped my whole life. Just as the water flows down the Isar - sometimes a little, sometimes a lot - life goes its way. Moments connect with the Isar, every new walk brings back memories of the past. I wanted to make this process tangible in a poetic way.

The Clown

Hans Schnier's relationship with his girlfriend Marie is a thing of the past. But he can't let her go. Again and again he is haunted by nightmarish pictures and figures from his former life. It rages in him and he rages along. From the inner emigration he defends his standards of value against the German restoration society. Staging by Thomas Jonigk at the Schauspiel Köln.
